Indian Air Force has published a notification inviting candidates for the courses commencing in JANUARY 2022 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 1 Exam 1. Total 235 vacancies announced. Post wise vacancies list as follows-
Flying – 69.
Ground Duty (Technical) – 96.
Ground Duty (Non – Technical) – 70.
NCC Special Entry – 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.
(a) Nationality. Candidate must be a citizen of India as per the Indian citizenship act, 1955.
(b) Candidates should have passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level
(c) Graduation (any Disciplines) or BE/B Tech degree or Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India in relevant Engg disciplines Degree or PG Degree (Relevant Subjects).
(a) Flying Branch – 20 to 24 years as on 01 Jan 22 i.e. born between 02 Jan 1998 to 01 Jan 2002 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 Jan 1996 to 01 Jan 2002 (both dates inclusive).
(b) Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches – 20 to 26 years as on 01 Jan 22 i.e. born between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive).
Start Date of Online Application – 01 Dec 20.
Last Date of Online Application – 30 Dec 20.
AFCAT 1 2020 Exam Date – February (Tentatively).
